This was the first scalp scrub I've used and I was surprised by how much I love it. It did take me a few tries to figure out the right amount to use. It doesn't lather up as much as traditional shampoos do but I find that is common with clean shampoos. I have a dry and itchy scalp with fine hair, but most ‚ dandruff‚ shampoos leave my hair looking flat and slightly oily. While I wouldn't say this is volumizing in it isn't focused on adding body my hair still has body after using this so once I use little volumizing my hair looks great. The smell is fresh and minty but not overpowering.

MUST TRY
This scalp scrubbing shampoo was an AMAZING experience! To start off, the shampoo had an amazing cooling effect on my scalp and it smelled like mint! A little goes a long way, as this shampoo lathers up wonderfully. I also appreciate that it is vegan and cruelty free! I would definitely recommend trying it out, it made my hair feel so clean!

This scrub helped make my scalp cleaner, fresher and more healthy! It removed dead skin, buildup and excess oils. My scalp is flaky and it helped clear it up and make it look better! Love this scalp scrub.

Good for dandruff removal, bad for hair texture
Mixed feeling. definitely took care of dandruff (80%) but the hair feels really icky. You might wanna follow up with deeep hydration mask. BUt I love the shampoo for dandruff and scalp exfoliation.

Great scent, scalp soothing formula
I really like this product! I have scalp psoriasis and am always looking for something to sooth my scalp. The scent on this is incredible, and I loved the micro-exfoliant; it made me less apt to scratch my scalp and my psoriasis patches. I received this product for free to test, and I think I will continue to use it with a more hydrating conditioner. I probably would not purchase it myself though because it is quite expensive. My main complaint about this product is that I don't like the packaging. I would prefer some sort of squeeze bottle because this is very messy to use in the shower and I have a hard time preventing water from getting into the shampoo.

very good for dry scalps
After reading the reviews and testing this product for a few weeks the way I like to use this product is once a week and I like to concentrate it on my scalp, it does feel heavy if you tried to wash your whole head of hair. This product actually refreshes my scalp, and yes although I have to use extra products for the rest of my hair, I treat this like a scalp treatment and for that I truly believe it makes a difference. Very refreshing and makes for a less itchy scalp.

DOES THE JOB ITS SUPPOSED TO
I recieved this as a sample and have used it a few times now. It definitely makes my scalp and hair feel very clean afterwards, also super bouncy and soft. I have read some people have issues with it not lathering enough or speeding evenly into the hair but after a few uses I learned that you need to start by working it well into the scalp and then kind of spread it outwards root to ends. Also it will lather nicely if you use enough water with it. It smells like candy canes which I'm not particularly a fan of but if you like the smell of mint then you will love the scent of this product.

why I didn't give this product 5 stars
The Ouai shampoo detox felt my hair nice in smooth I have wavy to straight hair. I'm used to my hair get tangled in the hair but when I was using this my hair didn't get tangled and it felt so much lighter in weight. I only had to use a small amount of shampoo to clean my hair I have medium hair length I feel like I alway use way to much soap for the after words clean feeling. The only down side of this product is that it mad my hair really oily on 2 days of wash it. I usually don't have problems with this until 4 day of not wash my hair other then that this product is great for only washing your hair once a week as detox not a everyday wash.
